Berlin is a cosmopolitan city of culture, politics, and science with a rich history that dates back to the 12th century. Here, people of all ages, professions, and religions with different educational backgrounds and from all social classes come together.
Our Masonic lodge "Am Berge der Schönheit" in the Orient Berlin looks back on a 110-year tradition.
Here, men work together in a community of fraternal solidarity and the values of humanity, freedom, justice, love of peace, and tolerance in the ritual tradition of the stonemasons, the lodge, synonymous with lodge.
On our websites, we want to provide you, dear visitors, with
- an insight into our principles and philosophy,
- an overview of our chronicle and the lodge house, as well as,
- a prospect of the opportunity to become a member of our brotherhood.
The Royal Art - We are an association of free men.
Our thinking and actions are determined by the values of humanity, freedom, equality, fraternity, love of peace, and tolerance. Freemasonry is committed to the dignity, freedom, and self-determination of the individual. This is the focus of the essence, traditions, and rituals of the work in the lodges. We possess a transmitted 300-year-old tradition whose origin lies in the medieval stonemasons' lodges. Discussion, guidance, and role models are subjects of Masonic work.
Philosophy of the Lodge
The beauty of the soul is love – this motto guides our Masonic lodge "Am Berge der Schönheit." With it, we connect our behaviors and our mutual interaction in the brotherly chain of our St. John's Lodge. In our fraternal discourse, we have created the opportunity to inform ourselves together, to orient ourselves, to develop our own Masonic personalities and identities.
We accept and discuss all views and opinions in joint reflection and critical self-enlightenment outside of any political programs in harmony with the value positions of Freemasonry.
We are a brotherhood of free men from all social classes, educational levels, and beliefs.
